My everyday makeup bag

Hello Again!
A girls makeup bag can be a whole variety of things it can be a purse, it can be a jungle, it can be a first aid kit to a spot. It can be a whole mixture of things, to me it is a small little bag that carry's a few little gems that can get me out of the door quickly, whilst looking presentable. So in the picture below is the contents, sorry if the arrows look like ginormous sperm, but I thought the pink was quite cute. Have a rummage around and tell me what you like from it and what your favourites are.

1. MUA eye shadow palette- Heaven and Earth.

The Heaven and Earth palette has the most amazing shadows in it. Each shade has not disappointed and they are slowly getting a little dip in the centre of them all. Well-used that's for sure. I bought this in May in Superdrug for just for pounds. Like I say, 'What a bargain!'.  Normally I would use the Aurora in the corners of my eyes as its the lightest shade, then myan dust all over the lid as a base (third from the top right) . Finally I use Valley over the crease and blend it into the base (2nd from the top right). It looks really natural and if I want to wear a little eye shadow all I do is the base. Even if it does have an overly fancy name. As well as my eyes I also use the shade Tectonite for my eyebrows(3rd from the bottom right) as it is the closest to my hair colour.

2. Topshop cream blush- Head over heals

As it's from Topshop you'd think that it would be a really good product (for the highstreet), it's not awful and it's not great. As I only spent two pounds on it, I think that its worth that. But if it wasn't on sale it would be £7, which still isn't bad but you could get much better products that are cheaper than that. The shade that I bought was a pinky tone , it is a really nice shade. To apply cream blush you get your piece fingers and get a bit of the blush on them and in wipe them backwards on the apples of your cheek. Sounds manky doesn't it. Lol! From my experience with this cream blush, I prefer powdered or compacted blush as my skin doesn't need the extra moisture it gives.

3. Eyebrow brush

I got this brush, absolutely ages ago in Sephora. I recently found it and it still does the job well, sometimes when I wake up my eyebrows have gone a bit ... yuk, shall we say. First of all I use the plastic side first to fix the shape and the bristles just to tidy it all up a bit. It's a good little brush, but everybody says that for a perfect brow you need to use a spool, so that is on my shopping list for my next trip to Boots.

4. Seventeen lip lustre- Ice maiden

I'm in absolute love with this Lip gloss, it is moisturising, shiny and a great colour. I have it in the shade Ice maiden, I really like it as it is just a bit pinker than my natural lip colour, so it isn't too obvious and it means I can wear it all the time. As it is so moisturising it almost works as a lip balm, obviously I still wear lip balm when I'm not wearing the gloss, but it means I don't have to worry about my lips cracking. The only problem I have to pick with it is that it doesn't last too long, but if you don't mind reloading every so often then it is an absolute makeup bag essential.

5. Primark blush and face brush

Primark is such a weird place to buy beauty products from, isn't it? I mean, normally makeup brushes are around £13 and that's for an eye shadow brush. So when I saw a pack of three double sided brushes for £9, I had to get it. So far, it has really ended my misconceptions from buying beauty products from Primark. The brushes are really kind to the skin and apply well. I hate blending my concealer with my fingers as I feel almost like I'm rubbing it off, so I use the smaller end of the brush and it works really well. The downside to it is that it is really hard to clean, so if you have any tips I would love to know.

6. Maybelline- Colossal Go Extreme Volumising Mascara

Wow, that name is quite a mouthful. Sometimes, I wish they'd just call things what they are. Bof I say! Anyway, when the mascara is on it looks amazing, like really good. It doesn't clump and the lashes separate really well and become so much longer. It looks really natural and you can change how thick and extreme it is by how many layers you use. But I won't be buying it again as it is the hardest thing to get off my face that I've ever done. It's waterproof even though they don't claim that. I would only recommend it to someone if they were in procession of industrial makeup remover! It's £7 by the way. May have forgotten to put it in earlier, but oh well.

7. Rimmel Wake me up concealer- Ivory

This product sticks to everything all the raving reviews say. This product is magic. It isn't cakey or un-natural. It really looks like it's meant to be there. The shade I have is Ivory, it is one of there natural shades and it matches completely, SCORE! Even though I have freckly skin, it doesn't look weird over them or make them look weird, once again it looks completely natural. I just wish it was a bit more moisturising, as you can never have to much moisture can you, now! It is really worth the price of around £7.

8. Barry M eye shadow brush

I think I may have actually got this in a stocking at Christmas, ahh the memories! As a review it's like any other brush, it works well and is kind to the skin I would definitely recommend it seeing as it is a.... BARGAIN! I just looked it up and it's only £3, very very good for a makeup brush.

9. Seventeen Lip crayon- Playful

Like the majority of the other products in my makeup bag, I absolutely love it, the colour is a bit bold to what I'm used to. But I really like it, if I'm not doing to much to the rest of my face, I like to use this lip crayon as it adds a little something to the makeup. Like usual my only complaint is that it should be more moisturising. As once I've worn it my lips feel really worn. But I don't mind seeing as it's a BARGAIN!! Only £3, pretty  good, pretty good.

I hope you've enjoyed this little rummage through my makeup bag. Don't forget to follow, and leave a comment (I always reply). xx See you next time puglets

Summertime Shoes in London...

Hello munchies!

Warning: I use the word Amazing a lot! Yesterday I had an amazing trip to London town. The city is so different in the summer, people are happier, music is louder and the streets are busier than ever. Unlike any other city London is full of green space which really comes to life in the summer, everywhere is an explosion of colour, this is the place you want to be in the summer. So lets get on with what I did this time, shall we?
Chelsea and South Kensington
The first borough I visited was Chelsea and Kensington and from the picture above you can see just how lovely the area was and this photo was taken just outside the tube station. Along the first street you reach from the station there are lines either side of artisan cafes and restaurants. So I stopped of at one of the creperies, oddly enough I didn't actually have a crepe. But oh well and instead I had an ear grey. I sipped on it outside as I watched everyone run about or strolling. Across the way was a beautiful French patisserie which looked amazing! So next time I'm in the area I'll be there.

Autumn Fashion

It seems like summer has just come, although here in the UK it is a little different to everywhere else. Every so often the sun will come out of the clouds and we all run outside to soak up what we can, for that short time it's gloooooorious. But before you know it's back in the clouds once again and the wind starts ruining our hair, yay. What else can you expect from England though.  Anyway where was I? Yes, it feels like Summer started last week and already the sun is gone and all of the end of season sales have started. But where old clothes go out and new ones come in and that means only one thing. Autumn clothes are here!!! Yes, you may do your happy dance now.

I love Autumn as it means I can bring out all of my thick blankets out again, cover my room in fairy lights and not be judged for drinking tea all day! Some of my fondest memories are of going on walks with my family and waking sticks about and jumping in piles of fallen leaves. The redness and warmness of Autumn always makes you feel calm and at home.  I'm looking forward to wearing my chunky jumpers and big coats.

Enough about me though , let's talk about the topic we all love... FASHION. From the small glimpses of the collections in the shops, this season looks like a scene out of the 70's, my favourite, turtle necks will be returning once again, suede skirts and jackets and checked t-shirts. This season will be designed around comfort on the mass, which I think is extremely important. Denim will once again be a popular choice , in dungarees, skirts, jeans and jackets. Talking about denim jeans, like the 70's, a main fashion will be the flared option. Which is a very good choice for somebody like myself and they make you look so much taller. I don't currently have a pair, but you can bet I will be looking for a perfect pair soon.

Obviously I am going to be enjoying summer as much as possible before we are all trapped indoors and am going to hold onto it as much as possible, I'll miss you summer. See you soon xx

Seventeen Lip Products Review

Hello again!
I have been looking for some good lip products for a while now, so when I took a recent visit to Boots I was happy to find some amazing ones for a reasonable price. The seventeen range is aimed at teenagers, I love seventeen as they are fun, colourful and cheap compared to other brands. So all in all I'm a happy girl, when I buy some of their products. The first item I bought was the 'LIP LUSTRE' in the shade ice maiden and the second one was a lip crayon in the shade , playful. Cheeky!

Ice maiden
I have only had this lip gloss for a short while but I'm really enjoying it, as it is moisturising, not too glossy and has a burst of colour. A problem I have with a lot of lip glosses is that my hair gets stuck to my lips and my hair ends up becoming all gross and pink. Not hot! But thankfully this one doesn't do that, too much anyway. The shade Ice maiden, also really suits the colour of my lips as it is just a bit pinker than my natural shade, so it means that my lips aren't overly done, but can have a subtly lift to them (colour wise). For £3.99 I think that this product is really worth buying as it lives up to what it says, ' Fabulous long lasting glossy colour for lips. It's time to pucker up!'

Playful

Love it. Do I need to say anymore? Even if I don't I'll keep going anyway. The lip crayon is a hybrid of the lip stick and the lip gloss. You apply it like a lip stick and it acts like one as well, but it looks like a less shinier lip gloss as well as  the way it feels on. The shade that I purchased is playful, it is a real burst of colour, I tend to wear this if I'm not wearing much makeup or none as it takes all the attention away from the horrifying places and onto the lips. It was a bit more expensive than the lip gloss, but who cares when it is this AMAZING!! At £4.99, it is a little pricey for a teenage makeup brand, on the other side 17 are always having offers. There is currently one on now. Visit http://www.boots.com/en/Seventeen-Lip-Crayons_1335196/ for the information.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I'm really getting into the hang of this. See you later. XX

My Top 9 Songs

What ever I'm doing, in the background, my playlist is always on. It is a collection of my current favourite songs and I absolutely adore it. These songs really feel like summer to me and encourage me to get moving. Obviously I realise that these songs won't be to everyone's tastes ,but if you do like them as well as me, tell me about it in the comments below These songs are in no particular order as it was physically impossible to choose. Enjoy...

Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson, ft. Bruno mars

Uptown Funk
This is one of my longest ,lasting favourite songs, as the majority of the time I get so sick of hearing songs being played so much. But shockingly that never happened with this gem. One of the reasons, this is in my top 10, is because it is the only song my whole squad love. We all have such different tastes that it was really nice to find a song we all knew the words to. It also isn't just one type of genre, it is a mixture of jazz, pop, rap and probably more.

FourFiveSeconds- Rihanna, Kanye West, Paul McCartney.

FourFiveSeconds
Ughhhhh, now this is my no.1 favourite song by far. I love this song because all it is, is a guitar, an organ and the singers. There is no effects or messing about with the song. Due to this it has a relaxing feel, yet perfect for any occasion. One of my favourite things about it is the fact is that they are all extremely talented artists, although very different. The music video is also really good as well, like the song it doesn't mess about with anything, black and white, they are just singing and you can't help but watch and watch until it is over. But as much as I LOVE this song, I do wish we heard more of the absolute legend, that is Paul McCartney, that just stood there playing the guitar.

Let's get started..

As you can probably tell, this is my first post ,on my first blog and I'm excited to see what will happen with it. On The Tea Queen, I will post mainly about anything creative, so whether that is creating a complex textile or baking some muffins, I will probably end up blogging about it. I will also blog about fashion, beauty and most definitely TV and music. At the moment I most likely won't be posting every single day, but expect at least once week.

A very, very rainy day in Brighton.
